"Then I looked at its top sheet, and there was the name -A CLOCKWORK ORANGE- and I said: 'That's a fair gloopy title. Who ever heard of a clockwork orange?'" -Alex, A Clockwork Orange
If you're looking for information about Anthony Burgess' novel or the Stanley Kubrick film adaptation then I'm sorry, you won't find it in this blog. I hope though that you'll still find these stories about my jeezny a horrorshow read. But enough Nadsat.
Seriously, if you want more info on this groundbreaking novel and equally momentous film, click here. Okay then, now that we've gotten rid of the fans, let's deal with you stalkers. Kidding.
So why Clockwork Orange? I love the film. It made me a Kubrick fan. And between you and me, let's just say 'Clockwork Orange' perfectly describes how I generally feel nowadays ever since I left my home country to work here in Qatar. I feel like a mechanized human being, doing what the powers-that-be want me to do. Someone who has lost the right to choose his own path. It's not as bad as it sounds, but it had been tough and it still is tough. That is why I am hoping that this blog will help keep me sane =) , a sort of entertainment.
Thanks for dropping by. I would really appreciate it if you can leave comments (with your name!) or even a short message via the Quick Quips Cbox.
"It’s funny how the colours of the real world only seem really real when you viddy them on the screen." -Alex, A Clockwork Orange
